What Data We Collect

When you use GC Pathways, we collect the following information:

  • Intake form answers: Your visa status, country of birth, employment details, family status, and priority date information. This data is used solely to generate your personalized pathway comparison report.
  • Email address: If you choose to save your report or sign up for visa bulletin alerts, we collect your email address.
  • Generated reports: We store the reports we generate so you can access them later via your unique report link.

How We Use Your Data

  • Generate reports: Your intake form answers are processed by our comparison engine to produce your personalized green card pathway report.
  • Email delivery: If you provide your email, we use it to send you a PDF copy of your report and, if you opt in, monthly visa bulletin alerts.
  • Improve the tool: We may use anonymized, aggregated data to improve our pathway analysis and processing time estimates.

What We Do Not Do

  • We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
  • We do not share your data with employers, immigration attorneys, or USCIS.
  • We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes beyond our own service communications.
  • We do not share your immigration details with any government agency.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in our database hosted on Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies. All data is transmitted over HTTPS encryption. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

Data Retention

We retain your intake form data and generated reports for up to 12 months to allow you to access your report via your unique link. Email addresses for visa bulletin alerts are retained until you unsubscribe. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate GC Pathways:

  • Supabase: Database hosting and authentication
  • Vercel: Application hosting and deployment
  • Resend: Transactional email delivery

Each of these services has their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Unsubscribe from visa bulletin alerts at any time
  • Opt out of non-essential data collection
